Description
A real photo postcard, "Stage Road to Follows Camp," ca. 1915. The view shows a four horse-drawn stage stopped on a road hugging a steep mountain side as it makes it way along the steep sided San Gabriel Canyon on its way to the camp, located on the east fork of the San Gabriel River. The camp, established in 1891, survived until the floods of 2005 destroyed much of it and it has remained closed, while purchased in August 2012 by the City of Industry. The postally unused card has soiling and minor edge rubbing and is in good overall condition.
