Description

A real photo postcard studio portrait of a man and a woman with an orange picking display, postmarked 16 July 1906. A man in w dark two-piece suit, white shirt and bowtie, stands on a step stool on which there is a straw hat. He has one hand on an orange on a tree and has the other in an upturned hat in which there are other pieces of fruit. His hat is held by a woman in a high-collared white dress. There is a message to the left that decries the photo as poor and that the couple find "'posing' is not becoming to us." An address is on the reverse, along with stamps, cancellation, and postmark. With some soiling, browning and edge abrasions, the overall condition is fair to poor.
