Description
A real photographic postcard of the Los Angeles Fire Department 1901, ca. 1910s. The photograph depicts the horse drawn fire truck from Truck No. 2, Engine No. 3 decorated for a floral parade. The main section of truck is lined and trimmed with flowers. The horses are decorated with a lace like textile. The firefighters of the station are in uniform and posed in the carriage and in a line next to the truck. Several people are seen in the windows of the station building directly behind the truck. The postcard is unused and includes a Kruxo stamp on the reverse. With moderate discoloration, the postcard is in good condition overall.
