Description

A real photographic postcard of a cabin at the Half Way Camp, ca. 1900s. The clapboard cabin has linen shades covering the windows, an opened screen door, and a sign that reads "Home Wylde No. 6." A man is seated on a chair with a bowler hat on top of a small, linen covered table. The cabin sits between trees and is on foundation stilts. Half Way Camp was located near the California-Nevada state border. The camp was a stopping point for travelers, miners, and cattle herders. With light fading, beginning signs of foxing most noticable on the reverse side. It is in good condition.
