Description

A real photographic postcard of The Merchants National Bank building, Los Angeles, published by Staley, postmarked 26 July 1910. The view shows the eleven-story (maximum allowable due to earthquake codes) structure from a cater-corner structure. Located at 548 S. Spring Street and designed by William Curlett and Son in 1913, the structure still stands. The postally used card has a message and includes a notation in pencil at the bottom of the front that the husband of the writers worked in the building. With edge rubbing and light soiling, the condition is good overall.
