Description

"A Reminder of the Old California Days," published by M. Rieder, Los Angeles, postmarked 4 October 1906. The image shows a one-and-a-half story adobe house with a tile roof, including a portion extending over a portico through about a third of the front facade. The building is dilapidated with much plaster damage. A man in a suit and four children stand in front of the structure, which appears to be in the countryside. A short message is at the right with an address, stamp and two cancellations (in New Hamshire and Maine) on the reverse. With some soiling, a few stains, and edge rubbing, the overall condition is good.
