Description

A reprint photograph of the first automobile in Los Angeles, about 1895. The photo shows former mayor William H. Workman in the rear seat and inventor E. L. Erie at the wheel of the vehicle which sits in a field near some railroad tracs and a profusion of trees in the background. A pencil inscription and pasted down typed label on the reverse provide information, but there are no other marks or inscriptions as to photographer or owner, though the name C. C. Pierce is at the upper left. With minor soiling and warping and dented corners, the condition is good.
