"A Rural Life Survey of the La Puente School District, 1930," an unpublished school report by Trent H. Steele, 5 February 1930. The handwritten report gives a basic outline of conditions in the community embraced within the La Puente School District, located in the Old Mission area, now part of the Whittier Narrows Dam and Flood Control District, and basically uninhabited. Much of the material for the paper was obtained from Walter P. Temple. There are a few original photoggraphs pasted in. A transscript was prepared and is in the accession file. With heavy browning, tears, losses, creases, and edge wear to the wrappers, but pages generally good, the condition is poor.Lexicon
