Description

A photograph of a Shriners marching band in a Los Angeles park, 1920s. The view shows the group of a couple dozen musicians wearing fezzes and vaguely Middle Eastern costume in the grassy area in the foreground while other Shriners are gathered in the background, where there also appears to be bleachers. Palm and other trees are throughout the park and there is a commercial building at the far background left, suggesting that the location might be Pershing Square. At the lower right is an embossed mark for the Keystone Photo Service of Los Angeles and, at left, in white is "#V.18 / CALAM." On the reverse is a stamp for Keystone and an ink inscription with the date June 1925. With some light soiling and edge rubbing, but significant creasing, the overall condition is fair.
