Description

A SIDEYARD FENCE FROM DUBOIS WOVEN WOOD FENCE PAMPHLET Color: Black; White A photograph of a sideyard fence from a pamphlet for Dubois Woven Wood fences, ca. 1920s. The vertical image shows part of the fence at center, consisting of thin poles, pointed at the top, joined together by five sections of horizontal braces on the other side, as seen in item .7. In the foreground is part of a lawn and two small trees or tall bushes at left and right. Behind the fence, on another property, is as part of a wood-sided building with a steeply pitched roof. In the background are trees. A caption at the bottom reads "IT GIVES SECLUSION TO THE SUBURBAN HOME." At the lower left is the inscription "Dubois Woven Wood Fence / Made in France," while at the lower right is "Robert C. Reeves Co. / New York." There appears to be little wear or damage to the artifact, which is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
