Description
A snapshot bird's-eye view from the tower at Los Angeles City Hall looking north, 21 January 1929. The view includes a part of the Plaza area and some of the railroad yard where Union Station now is at the lower right. To the left in the distance is Elysian Park, while to the right in the distance is the area around Glassell Park and towards Highland Park. Many commercial buildings and industrial sites are closer to the photographer with residential areas further away. In ink on the reverse is: "Los Angeles, Calif. Jan 21 - 1929 / from City Hall Tower." With some soiling and yellowing, the overall condition is good.
