Description
A black and white snapshot looking toward Descanso Beach, Santa Catalina Island, ca. 1920s. Evidently taken from the top of Sugar Loaf before the casino was built there in 1929, the image looks towards the beach and canyon, where there are dark trees, a small open structure at the far end and, at the left, a small piece of the roofline of the Descanso Hotel, formerly a Banning family residence. Portions of the hills and ocean are also in view. It has a pasted down part of an album page and with minimal soiling, the condition is good.
