A snapshot of a construction site, Ponet Terrace tract, Los Feliz, Los Angeles, 10 October 1923. The view is of a partially-cleared lot with wood and other items lying on the ground. Some trees on the lot and a tree-covered hillside in the background are also of note. An ink inscription on the reverse has the date and notes that the photo was for "Staking out Rogerlmair house, Ponet terrace, north end Western Ave, Los Angeles." Anthony Rogelmair, a native of Romania who emigrated to the U.S. in 1916, worked as an architect in Los Angeles and, in 1920, lived in an apartment in downtown and, in 1930, lived on the west side. It is presumed the house site in the photo was his. With minor edge rubbing and very light soiling, the condition is good.
