Description

A snapshot of a destroyed railroad trestle and power pole at the Los Angeles River and the Glendale Boulevard crossing, Los Angeles, 1914. The image is taken from the track and looks down at twisted wreckage extending into the water, while the pole leans to the left against the track. Past the river's rushing waters and at the opposite bank is another portion of the trestle. A hill with a house atop it is in the distance. A partial ink inscription on the reverse reads "[Ano]ther view of . . ." With album paper residue on the reverse, fading, residue at the upper right and some soiling, the condition is good overall.
