Description

A snapshot of a film shoot aboard a barge, Los Angeles area, ca. 1920s. Labeled in pencil on the reverse as "No. 6," the view shows two cameras and crew aboard a tugboat with a sign labeled "Crescent" in the foreground. Further back in shallow water is the barge with a two-story set on it and, on the first level are groups of actors apparently dancing. In the distance is a sandy beach with people and canoes on it. The third photo in this accession identifies "star" Katherine Williams and the film as "His Neighbor" but no information has been found about this movie, though a Katherine Williams (1908-1992) was in films in the early 1930s. With some soiling and edge rubbing, the general condition is good.
