Description
A snapshot of a Hercules service station, Los Angeles, ca. 1920s. The view shows a man standing next to one of two gas pumps at the station, which has a simple, small two-gabled structure with a projecting wood cover. On the reverse is a message in ink, "I am sending you / a picture of my / new gasoline station / I am doing well, "H.F. Horner / 4965 So Figueroa St. / Los Angeles, Calif." The man pictured is undoubtedly Horner and the address is over the door to the building. With browning, soiling, creases and rubbing, the overall condition is good.
