Description
A snapshot of a mining area in the San Gabriel Mountains, ca. 1920s. \Titled "Sierra Madre Mining," from a pencil inscription on the reverse, the image shows a woman and another person by a car parked near a shaft opening at the left. An open structure at the far left, a platform to the right of the shaft which has a pulley on it, a small mining car near the center, and much equipment and material is of note. With some album paper residue on the reverse and little evidence of wear, the condition is good.
