Description
A snapshot of a panoramic view from "Carterhia," Sierra Madre, 12 February 1901. The view is mostly of farm land and open spaces with tall trees and other plantings in the foreground, suggesting that the photo was taken from the home of N.C. Carter, the founder of Sierra Madre. The original caption is included and a recent ink inscription on the reverse of the album paper on which the photo is pasted down has the same info. With slight warping, soiling, and moderate discoloration, the condition is fair.
