Description
A snapshot of a part of the ruins of St. Francis Dam near Los Angeles, January 1929. A car is parked at the side of a dirt road near a tall chunk of the concrete dam, which gave way the previous winter and the resulting flooding killed hundreds in its path to Ventura. Piles of rubble, a section of concrete atop a hillside, and a few other cars are also of note. With album paper residue, some small stains, and soiling, the overall condition is good.
