Description

A snapshot of a portion of a building at Los Angeles City College, 1929. The view is from a wide walkway and takes in some grass, trees, and hedges while in the distance is part of a two-story structure with an arched tunnel leading through it. Opened in 1914 when the state Normal School moved from downtown Los Angeles, the site became the first campus of U.C.L.A. before becoming, in September 1929, Los Angeles City College. With album paper residue on the reverse, warping and minor soiling, the overall condition is good.
