Description
A snapshot of a waterfall in Stoddard's Canyon above Claremont, San Gabriel Mountains, ca. 1915. The fall, looking to be about 60 or 70 feet tall cascades down into a pool, but is hard to reach without rappelling and bushwacking, which is likely why the photographer took the image from a distance. A rocky mountain side is at left and there are trees without leaves between the photographer and subject. On the reverse is the typed inscription, "In Stoddard's Canyon." This locale is in the lower part of the wider San Antonio Canyon leading from Claremont and Upland to Mount Baldy. With some minor soiling, the condition is good.
