Description
A snapshot of adobe building ruins at "Las Flores" California, 3 May 1925. The view is taken from some yards away and captures two large sections of washed-out adobe walls and two wood posts between them amidst an empty field. On the reverse is the pencil inscription, "Las Flores, May 3, 1925." This could be at Rancho Santa Margarita y Las Flores in northern San Diego County south of San Clemente, where the "Las Flores Estancia" was built in the 1820s as an outpost of Mission San Luis Rey. The photo has light soiling and very minor warping and is in good condition.
