Description

A snapshot of an organ grinder monkey on a Pasadena street corner, ca. 1910s. The animal, wearing a striped outfit is on a small bicycle while several women and children stand nearby. The group is on a street corner and a street sign reveals that the street on which the photographer stood is N. Wilson Ave. The presence of rail tracks across the road behind the group indicates that it is E. Washington Blvd., where Wilson ends and along which a Pacific Electric Railway line once ran. With stains on the reverse, warping, soiling and abrasions, the overall condition is good.
