Description
A snapshot of beachgoers playing baseball on Sunset Beach, Orange County, California, 20 August 1923. A person has swung a bat while others stand off in the distance. To the left are some tents, umbrellas and other items and telephone poles appear to follow Pacific Coast Highway. On the reverse is a pen inscription with the date and caption: "Playing base ball on beach, / at "Sunset Beach," Orange Co, / Calif. / about 10 miles south of Long / Beach / Picnic tents in background." With minor warping, soiling and abrasions, the condition is good overall.
