Description
A snapshot of eight persons on the beach at Santa Monica, 1909. The group wears streetclothes and sit or kneel on the sand with three umbrellas behind them. A young man shovels sand with his hands in front, while a boy behind him makes faces and hand gestures. The woman at the back left is Anne McCorkell Morley of Boyle Heights. In the distance are some structures that line the shore behind the beach. With minor stains, some soiling, warping, and edge abrasion, the overall condition is good.
