Description
A snapshot of five persons at a fish scale, Santa Catalina Island, California, ca. 1905. The four ladies and a man stand in front of a scale with a fish hanging from a pulley behind them. The women are wearing a cotton, some with lace blouse, skirts and hats typical of the Edwardian period. The gentleman wears a hat and suit. Part of a store is at the left background and the Meteor Boat Company office is off to the right with a portion of hillside behind it. In pencil on the reverse is "Catalina Island." With small stains, a creased upper right corner, and light soiling, moderate warping, and some discoloration, the overall condition is good.
