Description
A snapshot of hillside apartments, probably Los Angeles, F. Morrison Boyd, 1925. The view is taken from across a street and shows the dual groupings of four units cascading down a steep hillside. At the base of the hill is a real estate office for C.B. or C.E. Crossan and Company and the location is assumed to be Los Angeles, though the pencil inscription on the reverse only says "houses on a hill." There is a stamp from a San Diego photo developer with a 13 November 1925 date. With very light soiling, the condition is good.
