Description
A snapshot of riders on mules on a trail in the San Gabriel Mountains above Sierra Madre, ca. 1912. The view is taken from off-trail and shows two adults and two children on the animals. The group is partially shaded from the nearby trees and there are two sacks by the side of the trail behind them. What looks to be a footbridg runs from the trail to the left, evidently crossing a creek. On the reverse in pencil are "Sierra Madre" and "S.G. Mtns." There is a minsicule loss near the lower edge on the right, and some minor soiling, the condition is good.
