Description
A snapshot of Selig Zoo in East Los Angeles, ca. 1920. The image shows the front entrance and the road leading up to it. A pedestal stands in the middle with four elephants on top. To each side is an arched entrance way topped with decorative pediments. People have gathered outside, to the left is a stall selling goods. Also visible in the photo are a set of tram rails in the foreground. The photograph is in good condition with minor warping, and fading. It was previously attached to a black album page and was most likely taken by a commercial photographer.
