Description
A snapshot of the eastern and southern elevations of Mission San Gabriel, 1927. Taken from the southeast across Mission Drive and next to the railroad tracks, the view shows the entrance to the old stone church, which is surmounted by a cross, and part of the south side, including the stairs and entrance to the choir loft. Some pepper trees and the wall and gate to the cemetery north of the church are also in view. At the bottom is an ink inscription reads "Mission Alhambra Calif 1927." With a few stains on the reverse, light soiling and minor edge rubbing, the overall condition is good.
