Description

A snapshot of the entrance to the main building at Los Angeles City College, 1929. The view shows part of the two-story structure with a central dome over a rotunda, an arched entrance, and ivy-covered walls. Walkways, grass, a round planter and some students are in view. Opened in 1914 when the state Normal School moved from downtown Los Angeles, the site became the first campus of U.C.L.A. before becoming, in September 1929, Los Angeles City College. With album paper residue on the reverse, warping and minor soiling, the overall condition is good.
