Description

A snapshot of the house of F.M. and R.J. Farrand, Glendale, California, 1908. The view is of a two-story wood-frame house with a four-gabled wood roof surmounted by a fenced platform at the apex. In front is a man, woman, and two girls standing near a vine-covered open porch. The man holds a lawn mower in his hands. A short message and address to a person in New Hampshire are on the reverse. The couple is likely Frank M. Farrand and his Roxy J. Farrand, who resided on East Sixth Street, now Colorado Boulevard, in Glendale in 1910. With heavy fading, some yellowing, warping to the top left edge, the overall condition is good.
