Description
A snapshot of the Orphans Asylum, Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, September 1925. The image was taken from Seventh Avenue and the long paved driveway leading to the massive three-story and large attic structure with a central tower. On either side of the drive are park-like grounds with lawns, many palm and other trees and sidewalks flanking the drive. At the bottom is an ink inscription: "Los Angeles' Asylum- L.A. 9-25." With curvature to the paper, a few small stains, soiling, a creased corner and rubbing, the overall condition is good.
