Description
A snapshot of three female hikers, Arroyo Seco near Devil's Gate Dam, ca. 1910s. The view shows the trip standing in the rocky canyon bed with a simple footbridge of two boards behind them. The three wear dresses, hats and boots, with one having her arms outstretched, another with hers raised and the third appearing to be hopping from rock to rock. On the reverse is a pencil inscription, "Devil's Gate Dam / July 2." With soiling, a few very small stains, and minor arbasions, warping, the overall condition is good.
