Description
A snapshot of three men in a horse-drawn buggy, Verdugo Hills near Glendale, California, 1908. The view shows most of the two horses (one white and one dark-colored) harnessed to the two-seat buggy, which is on a dirt road in a rural area with tall mountains in the distance, presumably these being the Verdugo Mountains. In pencil on the reverse is the inscription "Verdugo Hills." The photo was presumed lost prior to accessioning and the original paperwork not located, though the seller's name was recalled. With album paper residue on the reverse, light soiling, slight paper warping and edge rubbing, the condition is good.
