Description
A snapshot of trainer Mabel Gardner with zebras, Al. G. Barnes Circus, 1924. Dressed in her costume, Gardner stands next to a quartet of the animals, holding ropes attached to harnesses on them. In the background is a multi-story structure and a circus wagon or vehicle under what looks like a big-top tent. An ink inscription on the reverse is crossed out. With a badly dog-eared corner not affecting the image, warping, fading, creasing and soiling, the condition is fair.
