Description
A snapshot of two women hikers in Stoddard's Canyon above Claremont, San Gabriel Mountains, ca. 1915. The women, in long dresses and wide brimmed hats, sit at the base of a wooden bridge on a rock ledge. Some trees and other landscape are nearby. On the reverse is the typed inscription, "Stoddard's Canyon." This locale is in the lower part of the wider San Antonio Canyon leading from Claremont and Upland to Mount Baldy. With minor soiling, the condition is good.
