Description
A snapshot of Veda Adams cooking an outdoor dinner, Santa Susana Pass, Simi Valley, California, 30 December 1923. The view shows Adams sitting next to a fire within a mound of rocks, covered by something perhaps to prevent sparks, and cooking within cans. A blanket is spread on the ground next to her and part of a woman is at the far right. Aside from weeds and rocks, nothing of the landscape is discerned. On the reverse is an ink inscription with the date and description. With minimal soiling, warping, and abrasions, the condition is good.
