Description
A black and white snapshot photograph of a hiker on a rock on Mount Wilson, San Gabriel Mountains, 1 September 1907. The image shows the young man wearing a felt hat tipped back on his head, a white shirt, dark tie, dark trousers, and boots that rise to upper calf. He sits on a large granite outcropping or rock and holds a tree branch, perhaps used as a walking stick, in his hands. Some of the nearby mountains are in the background. An ink inscription at the bottom reads, "Lost and all in / Ed Anderson Mt. Wilson Sep 1st 1907." With minor stains, soiling, warping, and browning, the overall condition is fair.
