Description
A snapshot photograph of the Dominguez Air Meet, Compton, January 1910. The view is from the grandstands and takes in the lower part of the stands, the adjacent field, on which nearby is an aircraft, apparently that of Louis Paulhan, as noted on the reverse; another craft to the right and, behind that, a few tents with a banner partially in view and noting the anticipated population of 1 million persons in Los Angeles in 1920. With album paper residue on the back and light soiling, the condition is good.
