A snapshot photograph of Venice Beach, ca. 1910s. The image shows the crowded beach with persons lying on the sand, many under Venice Beach House and other umbrellas and some wearing bathing suits while others are in formal dress. A wooden structure for "Adams and Cline's Joy Fish" water floatation toys is on the sand. At the right is part of what is likely the Venice Beach House and there are buildings lining the shore in the distance, as well as the Santa Monica Pier. With adhesive residue and some stains on the reverse, a crease in one corner, and very light soiling, the condition is good.
