Description
A stereoscopic photograph, "175 Cluster of Oranges," Henry T. Payne, Los Angeles, ca. 1870s. The image shows a branch of an orange tree with several dozen pieces of fruit on it. Unusual is that the images are separated by about an inch. The title is handwritten at the bottom right and the view is part of the "Southern California Scenery" series. On the back is a pencil inscription stating the card was presented in 1877. With soiling, some staining, abrasions and heavy edge abrasions, the condition is fair.
