Description
A stereoscopic photograph of "29246. A Petroleum Field," Keystone View Company, ca. 1920s. The image shows a field with about two dozen derricks, sheds, other structures, a tent, automobiles, and a man sitting at the lower right next to a building near a street. On the reverse is an essay for the company's "Georgraphic Units" series describing the scene as being "in the Los Angeles field," and discussing the petroleum industry broadly. With curvature of the mount, light soiling and very minor edge abrasions, the condition is good.
