Description
A stereoscopic photograph of a stage on a road on Santa Catalina Island, unattributed, ca. 1890s. The view shows the vehicle, pulled by a team of four horses, and carrying the driver and about seven passengers, stopped on the dirt road. Behind the conveyance are bare hills, part of the ocean and the shoreline, evidently near Two Harbors. On the reverse is an ink inscription: "Santa Cataline Island / Los Angeles Co." With moderate soiling, discoloration, abrasions, the overall condition is fair.
