A stereoview of Sonora Town, published by E. W. Pierce, successor to Stanton & Co., ca. 1880. From the series, "Southern California Views." An elevated view of the city with sprawling low buildings laid out in the streets. Some buildings appear to be flat roofed adobes, while others have pitched roofs and wood. There is an ink inscription on the reverse. The photograph is in poor condition due to heavy losses at the edges, moderate surface soiling, fading and some foxing.
