Description
A stereoview of the Stimson House, Los Angeles, ca. 1880. The photo was taken from across the street. The house has four stories and is constructed from rough hewn stones giving the house texture. A wide porch wraps around the front entrance, to the right is a octagonal tower with crenelated roof. The facade of the house on the left side mirrors the stepped facades of mission churches. The board exhibits acid burn and foxing. The image portion shows minor surface soiling and fading. It is in good condition.
