A stereoview photograph, view of Temple Block, ca. 1870. Photograph by H.T. Payne, Los Angeles as part of the Southern California Scenery series. View of the three story Italianate building from the junction of Spring, Main and Temple Street. The side facing the triangular intersection has a sign at the top with the name of the Temple and Workman Bank, A.O. 1871. The Main Street side features an awning at street level. Several horse drwan buggies are stopped at the side of the street. There is a sign for Adolph Portugal Several other business are visible including a saddlery, printing office and furniture store. The photograph is in fair condition with moderate edge abrasion, fading, soiling, crease to bottom left and overal discoloration.
