Description
A stock certificate for the Bell View Oil Syndicate, Los Angeles, 30 May 1922. The item has a vignette of a bald eagle on a tree branch and a rocky outcropping near a seaside city. The certificate has the number, name of the holder, number of shares, date, and signatures of the president and secretary of the company. The Bell View firm had wells on land owned by developer Alphonzo Bell at Santa Fe Springs. With folds, on one of which is a tear, soiling and rubbing, the overall condition is fair.
