Description
A stock certificate from Pickwick Airlines, Los Angeles, 14 January 1929. The item is for three hundred shares of preferred stock and one hundred of common stock in the airline, which operated a line from Los Angeles to San Diego first, but then expanded with service to several Mexican cities and as far south as El Salvador. In 1930, however, the company was bought by another aviation company. The date is shown as "January 14, 1928," but the company did not issue stock until a year later and registration dates with Bank of America are for January and February 1929. There is some significant creasing and stains on a fold, but the overall condition is good.
