Description
A carte de visite photograph of a studio portrait of a man in a head-and-shoulder view, Valentine Wolfenstein, Los Angeles, 1870s. The image shows the man in a dark suit, white shirt, no neckwear and wearing a full white beard with darker hair around the mouth and nose. On the reverse is Wolfenstein's mark with note of his location in the Temple Block. With some heavy soiling and mount edge rubbing, the overall condition is good.
